EWP has an official internet chat room.
If you don't have mIRC, then you can get it from the mIRC website for free from www.mirc.com.
If you have mIRC or another program that accesses IRC channels, then you need to use the following information:
Server Name: irc.ewpub.org
Port: 6667
Channel Name: #EWPDon't feel comfortable with mIRC or other chat programs? Hey, you can access our chat room on the web, with Javachat! Just click the link at the very bottom of the page.
Please read the rules (below the schedule) before going into a chat!
The #EWP Chat Room Rules
These rules are to be followed. Disobeying them can and will get you banned from the chat, perhaps permanently.
- Do not become abusive to the other chatters. Please note that teasing is not abuse, and you should also be able to take a little ribbing if you plan to spend time in #EWP. However, offensive and intentionally nasty comments are not allowed. Please report abusive behavior to a channel operator (those guys with the "@" in front of their nick) .
- Do not piss off, irritate, or otherwise make angry, a channel operator. The channel ops have the privilege and the right to kick you out of the room for pretty much any reason they deem appropriate, and we will back them 100% on any decision they make. We screen our channel ops carefully, and we trust their judgment. Do not make them judge you: you will lose.
- The fastest way to piss off most of the ops is to use "L337 Speak". If you don't know what this is, Guardians bless you. If you do know what it is... DON'T USE IT. It will get you kicked faster than you can apologize.
- There is no fighting in our chat room. The ops currently in the room will decide what is a "fight" and what is merely a spirited discussion. The op is required to warn you of fighting before any disciplinary action is taken. If you continue to fight after being warned, you should expect to be kicked.
- Do not send a private message to someone without having previously gotten permission to do so. Harassing someone with PMs will get very nasty consequences from the ops.
- If you wish to appeal a ban, kick/ban, or an auto-kick, you will need to email Net Wolf or Night Wolf. If you believe your disciplinary action was unwarranted, a log file WILL BE REQUIRED.
